I don’t usually date older women, but this 91-year-old blogger would consider it a happy privilege to spend an evening with the lovely TV star. The wonderful Betty White just celebrated her three score years and 35 birthday.
I’m among her millions of admirers who’ve enjoyed her performances that stretch from 1950s days of daily flickering black-and-white live TV, through to today’s popular sitcoms. Beyond that, Betty continues to be active in social issues, including animal rights and serves on the board of the Los Angeles Zoo.
As Shakespeare wrote: Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale her infinite variety. Happy birthday, Betty. May you enjoy many, many more. And as in the Golden Girls theme song: Thank you for being a friend.
